I don't want you to fail.

Successful startups need successful products. That is blindingly obvious. Yet history is littered with products created with passion and belief that no one wants, and that fact was visible from space.

Yet the fledgling company built it anyway. The investors were seduced by the promise.

No one was listening to the dissenting voices? Did they even seek them out? Unlikely.

It takes energy to do that, and we are wired to burn as little as possible. So we don't listen to different ideas; we ignore views that don't match our own. It's biological.

Failure after failure, because our brains convinced us we were right, never once thinking 'maybe we should just see if this is a good idea'? Well, it may have thought it and then, as it tends to, looked for likeminded individuals to reinforce its worldview.

Listening and diversity are how you succeed and avoid the fate of so many startups.

It's why I created EVT.
